Emma Allen of Active Property Investing has been named as a finalist for the 2020 AusMumpreneur Awards in the Service Business category.

The AusMumpreneur Awards presented by The Women’s Business School celebrate and recognize Australian Mums in business achieving outstanding success in areas such as business excellence, product development, customer service and digital innovation. The awards are designed to recognize the growing number of women who successfully balance motherhood and business in a way that suits their life and family.

“Creating a business based on my beliefs, values and ethics was truly liberating. I love the freedom to put forward what I think is right and to hold the team to a standard that sets us apart from our competitors. Doing this whilst raising a family is really hard work, but incredibly rewarding.”

Emma is delighted to be named as a finalist and is proud of her achievements, particularly the businesses agility and resilience to changing markets and their philanthropic work with Global Village Housing (GVH), building homes and schools in Cambodia.

There are many benefits to balancing business and motherhood as Emma explains, “flexibility and being a part of school and sporting communities is important for my relationship with my kids, all the while being able to utilise my skills and talents to make a difference in the lives of other families wanting to invest with property”

It can be challenging to be a successful business woman whilst raising a family and Emma gives this advice for others thinking about starting their own enterprise.” Save time for the important things in life”.
