Giving Back – GVH & The Women’s Cottage
With all the things that families have to endure across the world, we feel passionate about ‘Giving Back’ whenever we can. Here are a few of the projects that we have supported over the past 6-months in Australia and overseas.
The Women’s Cottage
The proceeds from our ‘Back Yourself’ book orders have been gifted to The Women’s Cottage along with a generous gift from our friends at Mint Property Management in Melbourne. The Women’s Cottage are a crisis and advocacy service for women of lower socio-economic background and of diverse ethnicity, with and without children in western Sydney.
More than 50 of their work is helping domestic violence victims, followed by poverty and financial stress, and those whose trauma is affecting their daily lives. You can imagine the influx in demand for their service given the pressures of 2020. The funds we have sponsored will go towards Emergency needs – such as petrol and food vouchers.
The Women’s Cottage is in great need to renovate their premises and have started a Go Fund Me page to raise $75,000. Please support them so they can service more women in and outside the area. Click on the button below to donate.
Global Village Housing (GVH)
Our long-partnership with GVH is to help build and gift homes to the poorest of the poor in rural Cambodia. Many of who are struggling with the absence of tourism and the spread of COVID-19. With our friends at Image Property in Brisbane, we were able to gift this family a home. Australian design, local labour and materials, complete with solar panels.
